BACKGROUND
British Marine Technology (BMT) is a leading international, multi-disciplinary engineering, science and technology consultancy. They offer a broad range of services, specialising in defence, energy, the environment, shipping, transport and logistics.
With 28 independent, specialist subsidiaries scattered throughout the world, and with little or no coherence unifying them under one banner, we were asked to unify them as ‘1’ global brand.

OVERVIEW
- Implemented a corporate brand strategy programme to define the brand lexicon structure.
- Developed and cemented BMT’s mission, vision and values.
- Designed a corporate identity and logo that gave each subsidiary ownership over their specialist area, whilst positioning them within the brand.
- Created 3 CMS website templates that could be adopted by each company in a style that best suited their positioning, whilst contributing to and reflecting the BMT brand. bmt.org
- Formulated an extensive 80 page BMT identity ‘Tool Kit’ for consistent management of the brand.
- Creation of a beautifully printed and bound Brand Book, sent to each and every employee by the Chief Executive to help individual companies to understand the strength and business benefits in working as one.

KEY RESULTS
We successfully united 28 operating companies into one solidified global business, around a common group strategy, identity and values. This has effectively strengthened the brand and allowed BMT to grow and flourish with foundations that will support them for years to come.
