TOM WHITEHOUSE, CEO

Since establishing Carbon International in 2004, Tom has advised many pioneering businesses and organisations in the climate change and cleantech sectors including Impax Group, the Carbon Disclosure Project, WWF and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He previously worked as an advisor on political risk to large energy companies, including Shell and BHP Billiton, and as a foreign correspondent. From 1997-1999 he was Moscow correspondent for The Guardian and from 1991-1997, he was a reporter for the BBC World Service, based in Prague and Moscow. Tom has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

 

MARK CAMPANALE, SENIOR ADVISOR

Mark became a shareholder of Carbon International in 2005. Mark has worked in SRI and environmental markets for the last 19 years. He was a co-founder of sustainable investment businesses firstly at Jupiter Asset Management with the Ecology Funds (1989-1994); NPI with Global Care Funds (1994-1999); AMP Capital with the Sustainable Future Funds (2000-2001) and Henderson Global Investors with the Industries of the Future Fund (1999-2006). He is a Founder Director of the UK Social Investment Forum (1990-present), the Rainforest Foundation (UK) and is founder of The Social Stock Exchange (UK). Mark has a BA in Politics & Economic History from York University and a Masters in Agricultural Economics from Wye College.

 

KATRYN FREMLIN, ACCOUNT MANAGER

Since joining Carbon International in 2009 Kat has worked across all the company’s accounts, on both communications and fund-raising projects. She previously spent three years working as a communications consultant for an Australian corporate PR firm advising ASX and AIM listed companies within the resources and cleantech sectors. Prior to this she worked in-house for the Australian government’s forestry department and as a journalist for a community newspaper group. Kat has a BA in Communications from Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia.

 

NICK BLESER, LEIF MANAGER

Since joining Carbon International in August 2010, Nick has managed the London Environmental Investment Forum. He previously worked as Events and Communications Coordinator at Mount Sinai Hospital Foundation in Montreal and as a Country Director for the Global Forum on International Cooperation. Nick has a BA in Political Science from Concordia University Canada.

Belinda graduated with a first class Honours Degree in Graphic Design from St. Martins College of Art and Design in 1994 and quickly cultivated an impressive client list as an independent designer. Since creating the brand for Wind Energy Ltd in 2003 she has enjoyed great success building, strengthening and extending ethical brands.

 

Belinda co-founded Moore Blackett Ltd in 2006.
